Realistic Outlook on Life (#RealPositivity)

Bonjour, mon ami!

I’m here for real talk. I know everyone wants to be happy every day. But the reality of life is that we have highs and lows. I only have to think that is how God intended life to be. Really, really hard. But that’s why I dance and enjoy music and food and love to the fullest! These are the joys we get to partake in every day and each of us have a unique story. A drama, a thriller, a comedy, an action movie. We all have so many fabulous tales to tell. That’s why I miss people and our shared spaces so much. I really enjoy learning about people and who they are. I think maybe because I was a loner in high school and kind of awkward. When I finally learned how to talk with adults, people actually started to want to be my friends very easily. It was so obvious. Ask people questions about themselves. People love to talk about themselves and you learn fascinating things (#DaleCarnegie, #ThanksBizSch).

Every single one of my friends and family are fascinating people and the sum of them make up me. We are a part of each other’s stories to learn the lessons we need to learn in life. That is the purpose of us being here. We need to learn. It’s painful to learn. My kids sometimes cry when they don’t know the answer to something, and I have to remind them it’s okay that they don’t already know something. We’re all learning all the time. It’s like our hair and our nails, they always grow and so does our wisdom.

With each year on this Earth you grow one year wiser. Those superstars that make it over 90 are freakin’ buddha sprites. Ya’ll should listen to everyone’s story so that they feel heard. Those who are muted the most are lost and we need to help them. We need to build each other back up by supporting each other. You can only build that with community (#CommunitySavesLives, #BuildTheCommunityYouWant).

I have faith. I’m very, very scared…all the time (#StupidAnxiety). But I power through, one step at a time.

Yours truly,

(#MerryMarie, #ChristmasSprite)
